Arriving at Ascot Racecourse
The course lies in the town of Ascot, close to Windsor and reached from London by the M4 or M3 and the surrounding A-roads. In light traffic the run takes around an hour from central London; on race days the final approach slows considerably, and self-driving guests often spend as long looking for parking as they did on the motorway.
Your chauffeur studies the day in advance — road closures, the recommended enclosure approach and the drop-off points nearest your gate — so the car sets you down as close to your enclosure as the stewards allow, then withdraws to wait.
